From Fits Function : Thematic Tea Sets

the students in Adv. Sculpture and Ceramics created tea sets based on their own chosen themes.  The challenge was to create a "set"of ceramic pieces vs. their usual "one of a kind " pieces.  The students' varied themes made for an interesting exhibit of work!

  2. Hi this is Maria Branca , Francesca's mom. I just wanted to drop a little comment on all the work Francesca has done and accomplished through her senior year at Cranston High School West. I am very proud and impressed at how her talent has grown. Her art work has improved tremendously through each year at Cranston West. She has learned and improved so much through each and every year. Her paintings, in my eyes, have improved the most from her freshman year to her senior year. Which shows me that her teacher quittance and knowledge through the years has really made a difference and taught her a lot. She also has done a great job with her clay work, drawings and her cardboard sculpture (the hat). Cranston West has a great art department and program. Back in the 80's Francesca's aunt took as many art classes that she could at Cranston West and Cranston West prepped her enough that she was accepted to RISD. And as I watched Francesca learn and grow I felt like I was watching my sister all over again.

  4. Hello Mrs. Venditto! This is Leslie Tirocchi, ilana's mom. I just have to say what a wonderful class you have and what beautiful pieces come out of it! These pieces have so much character and beauty to them and all seem to be so different yet equally interesting. My daughter has created amazing things from this class and I have to say my absolute favorite is this tea pot. I love how they made these ordinary tea pots extraordinary! This is a stupendous class, great job to the kids and Mrs. Venditto!
